Nancy Pelosi has a meeting with Carlos Vecchio, Guaido’s ambassador to the United States (EFE).
President Donald Trump’s administration has spoken out around the world in favor of freedom for Venezuela. The U.S. government was the first to recognize the legitimacy of Juan Guaidó as interim president. Additionally, U.S. ambassadors were responsible for gaining support and recognition for the interim president from other nations while asking them to ignore the dictatorship of Nicolas Maduro openly.
The Obama administration’s position was one of recognition and “mediation.” On the other hand, Donald Trump has emphatically supported ending the dictatorship of Nicolas Maduro. He has increased sanctions and frozen assets belonging to the dictatorship’s agents. He has also passed the ownership of CITGO, one of the principal assets of the Venezuelan state, to the interim administration, canceled visas of the Chavista dictatorship’s officials and their family members, and also sanctioned Cuba and all international businesses that transact with the dictatorship. All these measures have one clear purpose: removing Maduro from power, cutting his sources of finance, and ending the suffering of Venezuelans.
Recently, Trump dedicated time at the UN General Assembly to receive Juan Guaidó’s ambassador to Washington, Carlos Vecchio, and the External Affairs Commissioner, Julio Borges. During the meeting about the current situation in the South American country, Trump went on to tell a journalist that she should not worry about the situation in Venezuela because he had everything under control, and things were going to turn out well.
Trump’s efforts to promote change in Venezuela include clashing with his former National Security Advisor, John Bolton, whom Trump eventually fired, and declared on Twitter that Bolton was “tying him up” regarding his ideas on liberating Venezuela. Furthermore, the U.S. president recently allocated 52 million USD to Guaidó’s administration to finance Venezuela’s freedom.
Trump received Vecchio a few days ago, and today it was announced that Guaidó’s ambassador in Washington would meet with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the politician promoting the impeachment of the person who has been Guaidó’s primary ally.

Ever since Trump assumed office, Democrats have tried to undermine it in different ways. Impeachment has been another tactic to attack him. Even former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton dared to call the constitutional president of the United States “illegitimate.”

Yesterday, the New York Times leaked “information” claiming that President Trump had asked to shoot migrants in the legs on the border with Mexico and build a crocodile pit, all based on “people’s testimonies,” without presenting evidence just at the same time that the Democrats, led by Pelosi, promote impeachment.
Nancy Pelosi admitted to knowing what was in the phone call between Trump & Zelensky. How did she know what was in the call? The transcript was NOT declassified, unredacted or released to the public until AFTER her Impeachment announcement. Where are the Subpoenas? #TheJigIsUp pic.twitter.com/FSMitdbDek

The truth is that the Guaidó’s ambassador has scheduled a public meeting with the Democrats. The same people who have launched a campaign to destroy President Trump, who has undoubtedly been Venezuela’s greatest ally. Anyone who is even slightly rational can classify as snubbing the administration that has given them everything to get out of the tragedy of Chavismo.

Interim President Juan Guaidó and his delegation continue to take the wrong steps. After this new announcement, and the publication of the “new electoral route,” without ending the usurpation of Maduro and pledging to “find peaceful solutions,” we can deduce two things: either the interim administration is extraordinarily naïve and negligent, or they have no interest in ending the dictatorship.
